As of January 2011 the firm consists of 8 attorneys down the east coast of Florida. The firm is a professional alternative to real estate brokers. The firm represents sellers only. Our services are offered to the general public, lending institutions, and other attorneys.
If you're an attorney that sees that a client needs to sell real property you can do one of three things. One, do nothing and get paid nothing. Two, refer the matter to a real estate broker, and get paid nothing. Three, join or refer the matter to Lawyers Real Estate, P.A. and get paid.
Our firm allows clients to return to a time prior to brokers, prior to buyer's agents, seller's agents, and transactional brokers, when all real estate matters were handled by those who were the best educated and most experienced, ATTORNEYS. We predict that in 5 years the LRE attorneys in Florida will once again be dominant in the handling of all real estate matters.
Just ask yourself:
- If the general public, or anyone for that matter, can retain the services of a lawyer for the same price of a broker, who will they hire
If you are a probate lawyer, ask yourself how many cases you have handled in the past year where the personal representative or the beneficiaries intended to sell the property they just inherited. If you're a divorce lawyer, how many clients retained possession of a home they could not afford? If you're filing partition actions you see properties that will be sold.
We can do things, and provide services, that real estate brokers can not. First, we can and do pay referral fees to other attorneys. So, even if you don't join our network, remember us the next time you have a client or friend that needs to sell real property. We are a one-stop shop for lending institutions that currently hire one firm to foreclose and then try to find a competent broker to market the property.
We have no intentions of stopping at Florida. We have also incorporated in Colorado, Pennsylvania, and New York and are seeking attorneys in those states to join us in providing the same services that we currently offer in Florida.
